The main difference is service life.
Steel Production Boards (Steel Pallets) for block manufacturing require resistance to corrosion and wear, as well as the ability to withstand deflection under repeated loading. Because steel specifically designed to meet all these requirements has not been readily available, the industry has traditionally used steel intended for structural or shipbuilding applications.
Working with POSCO and Hyundai Steel, Samjung developed premium steel that combines their materials expertise with our production experience to deliver the performance required for block manufacturing at a competitive price.
With proper care, we have observed service-life increases ranging from 30% to more than 200% compared with standard steel. Actual service life varies depending on production conditions, the operating environment, and maintenance practices.
Steel Production Boards (Steel Pallets) may develop deflection or deformation through repeated exposure to vibration and loading. To help manage this, it is important to use both sides evenly rather than continuously using only one side.
Corrosion control is also essential. As corrosion progresses, it can reduce the steel’s thickness, weakening its load-bearing capacity and potentially increasing deformation.

For more than 30 years, Samjung has developed and manufactured steel logistics pallets, building expertise in lightweight structures capable of supporting loads many times their own weight. MetaBoard applies this structural design expertise to Steel Production Boards (Steel Pallets).
MetaBoard achieved an industry first by limiting deflection to 1 mm or less under a 2-tonne load. This performance applies to the specific board dimensions and loading conditions used for verification. Allowable loads and expected deflection vary depending on the board’s dimensions, thickness, and operating conditions.

Yes. MetaBoard can be used on both sides, and we recommend using both sides evenly.
Maintenance and storage procedures are the same as those for WowBoard. Removing debris from the surface after every production cycle and applying a coating agent or oil can help extend the board’s service life.

BoardCleaner is available in two options: Standard and AI Smart.
The Standard option cleans at a consistent intensity using preset settings. The AI Smart option uses AI to inspect contamination on the surface of the Steel Production Board (Steel Pallet) and automatically adjusts the cleaning intensity according to the level of contamination.
